US Senator John McCain, who spoke widely on Sri Lanka, has died. He was 81 years old at the time of his death. Al-Jazeera reported that McCain, a US senator from Arizona for over three decades, had been battling glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer, discovered by his doctors in July 2017.
