Lotus Tower illuminated in support of fight against coronavirus

The Lotus Tower in Colombo was illuminated today in appreciation of all front-line workers involved in the fight against the coronavirus.

The tower was illuminated?with a special theme this evening to appreciate efforts of all front-line workers fighting the coronavirus epidemic.

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa said that the Lotus Tower was lit to honor and pay tribute to the Healthcare, Armed Forces, Police, Government administration, media, bank and all supporting personnel, who are leading the battle against COVID-19.

He said that their selfless service is the lifeblood of the country today and it is Sri Lanka’s duty to take care of them.?(Colombo Gazette)

Court informs CID it can arrest Diana Gamage

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) was informed by the Colombo Chief Magistrate that it can arrest State Minister Diana Gamage if there is evidence that she had violated the Immigration and Emigration Act.?
