Work from home period extended

The Government has declared 30 March – 03 April as a period to ?work from home?.

The President?s Media Division (PMD) said that the decision has been taken in order to curtail the spread of the novel coronavirus in Sri Lanka.

The PMD said all Government, Semi- Government and Private institutions, except those declared as essential services, have been instructed to comply with the decision.

The President?s Media Division pointed out that this period should not be considered as a Government holiday.

It is being implemented to avoid the congregation of the public in a bid to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the PMD added.
