Sri Lanka has extended support to a landmark COVID-19 Technology Access Pool which was officially launched yesterday (Friday) in Geneva. Curfew declared in Nuwara Eliya ahead of Thondaman’s funeral

A curfew has been declared in Nuwara Eliya ahead of the funeral of Ceylon Workers Congress (CWC) leader Arumugam Thondaman. Police Headquarters said that a quarantine curfew has been declared in the Nuwara Eliya administrative district from 12 midnight tonight (29th) to 12 midnight on Sunday 31st May. Third set of triplets born at Kalmunai hospital in two months

By Farook Sihan in Ampara A woman has given birth to triplets at the Ashraff Memorial Hospital in Kalmunai. This is the third set of triplets born at the Kalmunai hospital in two months. The mother is a resident of Pottuvil and had been admitted to hospital with birth pains on 18 May. The three babies, two girls and a boy, and the mother are in good health.
