Major arrested with ganja

An army major was arrested in Anuradhapura today with ganja in his possession, the police said. The police said that the army major was arrested following a tip-off received by the police. When the vehicle used by the Major was checked by the police 15kg of ganja was found. The police said that they had found another 10kg of ganja in the vehicle of an accomplice of the Major. Court issues order on Fonterra

A Gampaha court today issued an enjoining order preventing the sale or distribution of Fonterra products in Sri Lanka, Lawyer Upul Jayasuriya said. He said the case was filed in Gampaha since Fonterra has its local operations based there.
