Presidential commission to be appointed to probe malpractices

A Presidential commission is to be appointed to probe malpractices by the former Government.

State Minister of Power Mahindananda Aluthgamage said that President Gotabaya Rajapaksa is to appoint the commission soon.

He insisted that the new Government will not look to take political revenge on the former Government.

Aluthgamage said that malpractices committed by the former Government will be investigated and action will be taken under the law.

The State Minister expressed these views after assuming duties today as the State Minister of Power at the Ministry. (Colombo Gazette)
