Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga is to sign an agreement with the United National Front tomorrow.
The agreement is to be signed at the Taj Samudra Hotel in Colombo.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is expected to sign the agreement on behalf of the United National Front.
The Prime Minister’s Office confirmed that Wickremesinghe will be at the event.
Kumaratunga will extend support to the United National Front at the 16 November Presidential election.
A senior member of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), Kumaratunga has refused to back Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
She is now expected to bring a group of SLFP members with her to support Premadasa at the election.
