Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says China and Japan have faith in the United National Party (UNP)-led Government.
He says both countries have invited Sri Lanka to sell bonds in their respective countries.
The Prime Minister was speaking at an election rally staged in Katugampola in support of United National Front Presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa.
Wickremesinghe says the international community had lost faith in Sri Lanka after the war.
He says the Rajapaksa regime had plunged the country into debt after the war by taking massive loans.
Wickremesinghe said that the UNP-led Government was able to ensure stability in the economy and win international confidence in the country.
He said that China and Japan had invited Sri Lanka to sell bonds in their country while the United Kingdom had also extended a similar invitation. (Colombo Gazette)
