Johnston Fernando acquitted from three bribery cases

Minister Johnston Fernando has been acquitted from three bribery cases accusing him of using Sathosa employees for political activities. Fernando and two others were acquitted by the Colombo Chief Magistrate today. They were accused of using Sathosa employees for election propaganda between 2010 and 2014 At least 153 Sathosa employees were allegedly using during this period for election propaganda. Over 95% of Covid cases in Sri Lanka confirmed as Omicron

Over 95% of Covid cases in Sri Lanka have been confirmed as being the Omicron variant. Director of the Health Promotion Bureau, Dr. Ranjith Batuwanthudawa said that lab tests have confirmed the Omicron variant is spreading in Sri Lanka.
