India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) has raided seven locations in Tamil Nadu?s Coimbatore over a suspected link between an Islamic State (IS) module in Coimbatore and the Sri Lanka Easter attacks, which killed over 250 people, News 18 reported. Sri Lanka and India have decided to step up cooperation to fight terrorism, the President’s office said today. US likely to take legal action against group linked to bombings

The US maintains the option to pursue legal action against the group linked to the Easter Sunday bombers once the investigations are completed, The Sunday Morning newspaper reported. US Government sources revealed that since there were US citizens among those killed in the 21 April attacks, the US may pursue indictments against those involved, in a US court. At least 45 tourists were killed in the attacks which hit three Colombo hotels and three churches as well as a small lodge in Dehiwala.
