Newly appointed Minister of Tourism Vasantha Senanayake today announced his decision to resign from his post in the Government. President holds Security Council meeting

President Maithripala Sirisena held a Security Council meeting today after the Supreme Court issued a stay order on the President’s decision to dissolve Parliament.
