SLC wants coaching staff to remain for Kiwi series

Sri Lanka Cricket wants to keep the coaching staff till the end of the upcoming New Zealand series.

Minister of Telecommunication, Foreign Employment and Sports Harin Fernando had directed the Sri Lanka Cricket board to replace the coaching staff.

However, Sri Lanka Cricket’s Executive Committee today made an appeal to the Minister to give them time till the end of the New Zealand series to carry out his directive.

The appeal was made this afternoon,following a meeting the SLC Executive Committee had with the Minister.

The Sports Minister wanted the coaching staff replaced as a result of Sri Lanka’s poor performance in the recent cricket World Cup.

  1. SLC shows its inability and status of the bunch of uneducated idiots who holds the office, who can not draft a Contract in favor of their Organisation. Where on earth was the clause – SLC has the right to terminate the contract by a issuing 30 day notice to the employee.?

    Now they are struggling to get rid of this man and show their sorry faces smiling to the media as if everything is OK. May be there are few guys who get a cut from this man’s humongous salary. This wasted resource could have been utilized to develop poor conditions of sports facilities in rural schools. This is an absolute mockery.
