Singapore offers to assist Sri Lanka to establish peace

Singapore would assist Sri Lanka in its efforts to establish peace in the Asian region, Singapore’s Law and Order Minister K Shanmugam said.

The Minister had made these remarks during a meeting with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe who is on an official visit to Singapore, the Prime Minister’s Office said today.

During the discussion, the Prime Minister had discussed on how counter-terrorism measures could be collectively implemented by both countries.

Wickremesinghe had also discussed matters concerning social, economic, and political interests, the Prime Minister’s office said.

Singaporean Foreign Affairs Minister V. Balakrsihnan and Sri Lanka’s non-resident High Commissioner to Singapore Chandra Das were also present during the meetings. (Colombo Gazette)

  1. The Singapore leaders would not allow India’s unwarranted interference, even though Singapore has Tamils and Muslims. Sri Lanka has enough talents but dirty Sri Lankan politician don’t acknowledge them. Ranil has 40 years plus political experience, but took the side of the foreign powers, appointed an uneducated politician as the president so he can become the Prime Minister.
