Acting IGP ordered to submit reports on Lasantha, Thajudeen probe

The Attorney General has ordered Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) C.D Wickramaratne to submit reports on the investigations conducted into four high profile incidents, including journalist Lasantha Wickremetunga and rugger player Wasim Thajudeen.

The August 2006 killing of 17 workers of Action Against Hunger (ACF) and the abduction of 11 young men by a Navy intelligence unit between 2008 and 2009 are the other two cases regarding which the Attorney General has sought reports.

The Attorney General has instructed that investigations into the murders be expedited.

Wickremetunga was assassinated in January 2009. Thajudeen was killed in a car crash in May 2012 which was initially pronounced to be an accident but is currently being investigated as a murder. (Colombo Gazette)

  1. What happened to the Easter Sunday investigation? South Asians are disgraceful for humanity. I really don’t know why you all are so eager to breed as rabbits to multiply in billions.

I have faced difficult situation in Sri Lanka by my siblings who did not even pass O/L. I never seen two of my siblings had a job. But they are slaves of the foreign powers. I couldn’t choose my parents or my siblings but I can choose my family life. I decided not to marry a South Asian or create a South Asian, especially a Tamil. When I see a South Asian my mind automatically alerts me to stay away from them because their hearts and minds are darker than their skin colour.
