Jayantha Jayasuriya appointed new Chief Justice

President Maithripala Sirisena appointed Attorney General Jayantha Jayasuriya as new Chief Justice today.

Jayasuriya took his oaths as Chief Justice before President Sirisena at the President?s Office today.

The President also appointed Solicitor General Dappula De Livera as the Acting Attorney General.

Meanwhile, Additional Auditor General, Chulantha Wickremarathne was appointed as the Auditor General. (Colombo Gazette)
