Tissa to return to active politics at next Presidential polls

Former United National Party (UNP) General Secretary Tissa Attanayake says he will return to active politics at the next Presidential elections.

Attanayake told the Colombo Gazette that while he took a break from active politics after the 2015 Presidential elections, he is now ready to make a return.

He said that he will make his return after the next Presidential elections is announced.

Attanayake however said that he has not had any discussion with any political party on supporting them at the election. (Colombo Gazette)

Maldives court extends remand of Sri Lankan “sniper” for the twentieth time
