Sri Lanka to outsource visa service for Chinese tourists

Sri Lanka has decided to outsource visa services for Chinese tourists to a sub-agent in China. The Government said that the move will help draw more Chinese tourists to Sri Lanka. Cabinet spokesman Bandula Gunawardena said that some Chinese tourists find it difficult to apply for visas to visit Sri Lanka owing to a language issue. Chinese Foreign Minister to visit Sri Lanka

Chinese Foreign Minister and State Councillor Wang Yi is to visit Sri Lanka from 13-14 January 2020. The Sri Lankan Foreign Ministry said that the Chinese Minister will be on a transit visit to Sri Lanka. He will arrive in Sri Lanka at 11.30pm on 13 January and leave the country at 12.15pm the next day.
