SLPP to oppose process to submit new Constitution

The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) says it will oppose the process being followed by the Government to submit a new Constitution to Parliament.

SLPP Chairman, Professor G.L Peiris said that the Government is attempting to submit a new Constitution to Parliament before February 4th.

He noted that the Government has already submitted reports related to the new Constitution to Parliament.

Professor G.L Peiris said that the SLPP is against the process being followed by the Government to submit a new Constitution.

He insisted that the process being followed will lead to unnecessary issues in the country. (Colombo Gazette)

  1. For GL who mislead the President, the sun rises in the west . Who cares for his advice. He allays thinks negatively . He was one of the villans of the constitutional crisis. A charge sheet be brought against him
