A minor fire was reported at the US Embassy in Colombo today.
US Embassy spokesperson Nancy Van Horn told the Colombo Gazette that there was a minor fire early this morning.
She expressed the gratitude of the US Embassy to the fire brigade which managed to extinguish the fire.
The fire was in a building being newly constructed in the Embassy premises. (Colombo Gazette)
