Experts report on constitution proposals tabled

A report prepared by the Panel of Experts for the Steering Committee to draft a new Constitution, was tabled before the Constitutional Assembly in Parliament today.

The report is based on the Interim Report, six Sub Committee Reports, the Report of the ad hoc Sub Committee set up by the Steering Committee to look into the relationship between the Parliament and the Provincial Councils.

The report was tabled by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe when the Constitutional Assembly met today.

Government insists Tamils have an issue which needs a solution

The?Government today insisted that Tamils have an issue which needs to be addressed through Constitutional amendments.
