ICC to establish office in Sri Lanka to probe corruption

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is to establish a permanent office in Sri Lanka to probe corruption allegations, newly appointed Sports Minister Harin Fernando said today.

Last week Fernando had met the ICC Anti Corruption Unit in Dubai to discuss allegations of corruption involving cricket in Sri Lanka.

The ICC Anti Corruption Unit had handed over a report to him and it was decided that a senior ICC Anti Corruption officer will be posted to Sri Lanka to investigate allegations of corruption. (Colombo Gazette)
