Father remanded for affair with daughter

A man has been remanded by the Pollonaruwa magistrate for having an illicit affair with his underage daughter and sexually abusing her. The police media unit said today that the suspect, a 53 year old man, had abused his daughter eight years ago when she was 15 years old. Dambulla mosque opens amidst tensions

A mosque in Dambulla which was sealed on Friday following protests by several Buddhist monks and several protestors, has been reopened following the intervention of some Muslim government Ministers.
