Foreigner arrested at BIA with 5.578 kg of cocaine

A foreigner was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) today with?5.578 kg of cocaine, the Customs Department said. The?Customs Department said that the European National had concealed the cocaine in story books and fax rolls. A?Customs Department spokesman said that cocaine was valued at Rs.?85 Million. The European had arrived from Peru via Dubai and was scheduled to leave for Cambodia via Malaysia when she was arrested. (Colombo Gazette)
