Police DIG Nalaka de Silva and activist Namal Kumara have been ordered to appear in court on Monday over the case involving the alleged plot to assassinate President Maithripala Sirisena and former Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
The Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court issued the order when the case was heard today.
Namal Kumara had alleged that the DIG revealed a plot to assassinate President Maithripala Sirisena and several other VVIPs.
Namal Kumara said the DIG had made the revelation in a telephone conversation between the two. (Colombo Gazette)
