Probe launched on IGP, PM’s office rejects claims IGP told to resign

An investigation has been launched into allegations raised against Inspector-General of Police Pujith Jayasundara.

The Law and Order Ministry said that it has been directed to conduct the investigation on the IGP.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister’s office denied reports Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has asked the IGP to resign. (Colombo Gazette)

  1. I suggest everyone resigns because all are responsible. If the police received news that these bombings were targeted at the parliament, would he have kept quiet? No!!! Whenever there were nasty comments against the IGP on the internet, he should have been sacked instead you politicians kept him and petted him. Now it’s useless crying over spilled milk.

  2. IGP is protecting a MOLE called Nalaka Silva who was planning to eliminate Prez.
    In this scenario who is the Beneficiary if Prez was eliminated ??

    So, whi should the IGP asked to resign by the PM’s Office?

  3. The Prime-Minister has be look after President and other citizens of Sri Lankan by constitutional duty and accountability of Republic. If he has that duty and responsibility or neglected or discard or reject act against IGP move of his activities ,it have to have bad reputation of democracy of Island Who is going look after national security of civilian of our nation?
    PM is main man has to act soon by act against IGP
