Probe on suspected LTTE bomb found in Katunayake

An investigation has been launched into the discovery of a bomb suspected to have fallen off an LTTE plane which was shot down by the Air Force in 2009. The bomb was discovered when the ground at a swamp close to the location where the plane was shot down was dug for some construction work. The LTTE had failed in an attempt in 2009 to attack the Air Force base in Katunayake using a light aircraft which was shot down by the Air Force.
