The Colombo Magistrate’s Court issued notice on Rajapaksa and six others over the case related to the misuse of public funds during the construction of the D.A. Rajapaksa Museum.
The Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) is investigating the allegations ans has submitted a report on the findings to the Attorney General.
The Attorney General has advised that legal proceedings be filed and the FCID sought the intervention of the court to issue notice on Rajapaksa and six others.
Earlier Rajapaksa had obtained a court order to prevent the FCID from arresting him in connection to the case. (Colombo Gazette)
