Deputy Minister says MR’s portraits hang in Chinese companies

A Government Deputy Minister today claimed that portraits of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa can be seen hanging in Chinese companies in China.

Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake said that during a visit to China he saw Rajapaksa’s portrait hanging in the office of a leading Chinese company.

He says this shows the Chinese have a special place in their hearts for Mahinda Rajapaksa as Rajapaksa has “sold” Sri Lanka to China.

The Mahinda Rajapaksa led Government had signed several agreements with China including deals on highways, a port, airport, port city and other projects. (Colombo Gazette)
