Rajitha says Maithripala did not attend 100 Day plan talks

Cabinet spokesman Dr Rajitha Senaratne says President Maithripala Sirisena did not attend the discussions held to prepare the 100 Day program following the 2015 Presidential elections.

Senaratne said that the?100 Day program was discussed and drafted by civil society and others who helped bring Sirisena to power.

The Minister however told reporters today that the President did not word it right when he said that he had no idea who drafted the?100 Day program.

Speaking at an event held recently to mark the 76th birth anniversary of the late Most Venerable Maduluwawe Sobitha Thero,?President Sirisena said that?the?100 Day program was a dumb move. (Colombo Gazette)

Sapugaskanda oil refinery to temporarily halt operations

Operations of the Sapugaskanda oil refinery will be temporarily suspended from tomorrow (Sunday). The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) said that operations at the Sapugaskanda oil refinery will be halted as there is no crude oil to refine.
