Overseas travel ban on Mahinda temporarily lifted

An overseas travel ban imposed on former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, was temporarily lifted by the Fort Magistrate?s Court today. The ban has been lifted from 20 April to 30 April 2023. The overseas travel ban was imposed over a case related to the economic crisis. Former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa was among those accused of being responsible for the economic crisis.
