A Sri Lankan national has been jailed in Singapore over an accident last year which killed one person and injured two others, the Straits Times reported today. The jet-lagged driver’s car mounted a pavement and killed a grandmother after he apparently dozed off while at the wheel. Engineer Singarayar Cleetruse Geethan, 32, also hit three members of her family, injuring two of them in the accident in Woodlands Drive 14. Accident kills radio producer

An accident at Colpetty has killed a producer at a popular Sinhalese radio station, the police said. Anushka Indrajith, a producer attached to the Ran FM radio station was killed when a three-wheeler collided with his motorbike last night. The police said that the accident took place when the three-wheeler had turned onto the main road from Carlwill Place at Colpetty. The three-wheeler collided with the motorbike on which 27 year old Indrajith was travelling. The victim is a resident of Kandana.
