Rajitha warns Ministers voting against PM will be removed

Cabinet spokesman Dr Rajitha Senaratne today warned that any Minister who votes against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe during the no-confidence vote in Parliament today, will be removed from their post.

Senaratne said that there is also a proposal to appoint a new cabinet on Monday and take the unity Government forward.

He said that forming a new cabinet will depend on the number of Ministers who vote against the Prime Minister.

Senaratne said that voting against the Prime Minister is a vote against the Government so such Ministers must be removed.

The cabinet spokesman said that it will be easy for the Government to operate when those attempting to scuttle the Government are not in the cabinet. (Colombo Gazette)
