Curfew re-imposed in Teldeniya and Pallekele areas

A Police curfew has been re-imposed in the?Teldeniya and Pallekele areas today, the Police said.

The Police said that the curfew, which was declared in the Kandy district yesterday and lifted this morning, was re-imposed in?Teldeniya and Pallekele.

Meanwhile, 24 suspects were arrested and remanded over their involvement in the violence in Kandy yesterday.

The Police said that Inspector General of Police (IGP) Pujith Jayasundara has deployed the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to investigate the violence in Kandy. (Colombo Gazette)
