UNP to appoint committee to propose reforms in the party

The United National Party (UNP) will?appoint a committee to propose reforms in the party, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said today.

He told a group of UNP Ministers and Deputy Ministers that the reforms in the UNP will be completed in a month.

The Prime Minister said that the committee to propose reforms in the UNP will be appointed next week.

Wickremesinghe also said that a cabinet reshuffle will take place soon and some UNP Ministers will also be shifted around.

The Prime Minister said that while focusing on a cabinet reshuffle it will also be important to look at the policy of the Government.?(Colombo Gazette)

Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe granted bail

Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe was granted bail, Tuesday, after being arrested last week over allegations he misused state funds.
