Law and Order Minister decides to resign from his post

Law and Order Minister and?United National Party Parliamentarian?Sagala Ratnayaka says he has decided to resign from his post in the best interest of the UNP.

Ratnayaka said in a Facebook post that he had communicated his decision to the UNP.

The Minister said that he had informed the party leader and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe that he is prepared to sacrifice his Ministry post and do anything which will help strengthen the party.

Ratnayaka said the decision he took was personal and he will accept any other position offered by the Prime Minister. (Colombo Gazette)
