ITAK, TPC hold separate meetings to take key decisions

The Illankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) met in Vavuniya today and discussed the political situation in the country and also the upcoming Local Government elections.

Opposition leader R. Sampanthan and ITAK leader??Mavai Senathirajah were among those who attended the meeting.

Several key decisions were expected to be taken at the meeting.

Meanwhile, the Tamil People’s Council?(TPC) headed by Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran met in Jaffna today.

The TPC decided it will continue as a group and meet the expectations of the Tamil community. (Colombo Gazette)
