Another group of refugees to return from Tamil Nadu

Another 25 Tamil refugees in Tamil Nadu, India are to arrive in Sri Lanka under the UNHCR facilitated voluntary repatriation programme. They are scheduled to arrive on Tuesday from Madurai, the Ministry of Prison Reforms, Rehabilitation, Resettlement and Hindu Religious Affairs said. Jaishankar and President Sirisena hold talks on several areas

Sri Lanka cricket board refuses to back charity walk

The Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) has refused to formally support a charity walk in which former top cricketers Kumar Sangakarra and Mahela Jayawardene are participating. The organisers of the Trail walk had sought the support of SLC for the latter stages of the walk but the request has been turned down.
