Dr. Palitha Abeykoon has been appointed as the new President of the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC), the Ministry of Health said today. The appointment was made by Health Minister Chamal Rajapaksa. UNF, SLMC seek order on media not to recognise new cabinet

The United National Front (UNF) and the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) today sought an order from Speaker Karu Jayasuriya on the media not to recognise the new cabinet. On Iran’s request MR allows Iranian to take USD 53,455
