Nasheed returns to Maldives via Colombo ending self-imposed exile

Former Maldives President Mohamed Nasheed returned home today after two years in self-imposed exile. Nasheed, chief of the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), flew from Colombo with his wife Laila Ali and President-elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. The former Maldivian President was greeted at the Colombo airport by Minister Faizer Mustapha before he flew to the Maldives. Ranil says he is still the PM and new appointment unconstitutional

United National Party (UNP) leader Ranil Wickremesinghe says he is still the Prime Minister and that the new appointment is unconstitutional. Three suspects questioned on drone spotted over Ravi’s house

Three suspects have been questioned over a drone spotted over former Minister Ravi Karunanayake’s house. The?Thalangama Police issued notice to three suspects to appear at the Police station today to be questioned.
