Several spells of showers expected in most areas today

Several spells of showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and North-Western provinces today, the Department of Meteorology said this morning.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Eastern and Uva provinces after 2.00p.m

Fairly strong winds about 50 kmph can be expected in the?Southern province and Bibile area.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.
