Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero arrested, granted bail

The General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS), the Venerable?Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero was arrested by the Police Organised Crimes division today.

The monk was arrested after he appeared before the?Police Organised Crimes division.

He was produced in court and granted bail.?Gnanasara Thero earlier surrendered to the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court.

The Colombo Fort Magistrate also released?Gnanasara Thero on bail.?Two warrants had been issued against Gnanasara Thero. The monk has however been evading arrest.

The Police said that it could not find?Gnanasara Thero and so could not arrest him. (Colombo Gazette)
