President asserts he is not afraid of any evil spell

President Maithripala Sirisena asserts he is not afraid of any evil spell and played down reports of a spell being cast on him.

Speaking at an event held today to mark the 38th anniversary of ITN, the President said that it is clear who was behind the?evil spell.

A copper plate used to cast a spell on an individual was found in Anuradhapura with the President’s name marked on it.

The President said he read about the discovery of the copper plate in the media but he was not shaken. (Colombo Gazette)

Monks support opposition to collect funds for Lalith, Anusha

Buddhist monks today supported a joint opposition campaign to collect funds for Lalith Weeratunga, secretary to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and former Telecom Regulatory Commission Chairman Anusha Pelpita, to pay their court fines.
