Former TID DIG Nalaka de Silva further remanded

Former Terrorist Investigations Division (TID) DIG Nalaka de Silva was today ordered to be further remanded till March 6th over the alleged plot to kill the President. Meanwhile, an Indian national, Mersalin Thomas, who was also in remand over the alleged plot, was acquitted. Nalaka de Silva had earlier been remanded till today by court. Two policemen arrested over Rathgama killing further remanded

Two policemen who were arrested over the murder of two businessmen in Rathgama have been further remanded. The policemen were ordered to be remanded till March 13. The two businessmen,?Manjula Asela and Rasheen Chinthaka, had been reported missing since January 23 this year.
