One killed, 5 injured in Tissamaharama

One person was killed and five others?injured following a grenade attack in Tissamaharama late last night. The police said that the attack took place in Uduwilla, Tissamaharama following a dispute between two groups. The suspects involved in the dispute had opened fire and then thrown a hand grenade towards a group of people. According to the police the suspects involved in the incident had fled the scene following the attack. (Colombo Gazette)

Police look for 6 Filipinos over murder

The Colombo harbor police have launched an investigation to locate six Philippine?nationals over the murder of another Philippine national on a ship which was anchored at the Colombo port this morning. The police said that the Filipino was murdered following a dispute with a few others on the ship.
