Five policemen further remanded over Jaffna shooting

Five policemen who had been arrested over a shooting incident in Jaffna were further remanded till December 2 by the Jaffna Magistrate today. The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) had commenced an investigation into the deaths of two Jaffna University students, who were killed after being shot at by the police when they were?travelling on a motorcycle in Kankasanturai recently. Five Police officers had been arrested over the incident and were immediately interdicted. (Colombo Gazette)

Sri Lanka says no pressure from international community
