Police fire tear gas on protest against dumping garbage

The police fires tear gas on a protest staged in Dompe today against dumping garbage in the area.

Residents in the area blocked vehicular movement on the road and protested against moves to dump garbage collected from Colombo in the area.

The police then used tear gas to disperse the protest. (Colombo Gazette)

    Firing tear gas is very menial for protesting on the man made disaster. Yahapaluwo murdered the residents of the area and this is not a natural disaster. Now they cannot blame Rajapaksa any more as the government was in power more than two years.
