Hirunika questioned by bribery commission on Duminda

Parliamentarian?Hirunika Premachandra has been questioned by the bribery commission on claims she had made on former Parliamentarian Duminda Silva.

Premachandra had recently claimed that several malpractices were taking place in the Prison Hospital where?Duminda Silva was receiving treatment while serving a death sentence.

Hirunika Premachandra had requested the Minister in charge to conduct a proper inquiry and temporarily suspend the service of the Medical Officer in Charge of the Welikada Prison Hospital Dr. Lakshman Jayamanne and Dr. Malinda Wanigaratne.

She had claimed that 10 out of the 17 doctors attached to the Welikada Prison Hospital?were involved in the malpractices. (Colombo Gazette)
