State Minister of International Trade Sujeewa Senasinghe said that no country can be developed in two years.
He said that most countries took 20 years to develop but Sri Lanka will need another three years to show progress.
The State Minister said that the Government has already commenced several development projects and it hopes to complete most of it in three years.
Senasinghe also said that discussions are being held with economists and other experts to develop a strong economic policy.
He said that by 2020 the country will see a strong economy since Sri Lanka expects to regain GSP plus from the EU and has already seen the lifting of the EU fishing ban. (Colombo Gazette)
