Report sought on officials ignoring Health Ministry circular

A report has been sought on Hospital Directors who ignore circulars issued by the Health Ministry.

The Health Ministry said in a statement today that Minister, Dr. Rajitha Senaratne had called for the report following a meeting with divisional heads.

The Health Ministry said that the Minister had issued a circular instructing all Government hospitals to conduct blood tests and not direct patients to private hospitals for this purpose.

However some?Hospital Directors have reportedly disregarded the circular and so the Minister has called for a report in order to take disciplinary action.?(Colombo Gazette)
