The Government has decided to purchase private land in the Jaffna District to resettle war displaced families.
There are 971 families still in welfare camps in the Jaffna District and 682 of those families are landless families.
Steps have been taken to resettle 462 of those families in alternative lands and lands are to be identified to resettle 220 families.
